The EQ-i 2.0 tool, which stands for Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0, is an assessment instrument designed to measure emotional intelligence (EI). Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups.
The origins of the EQ-i 2.0 can be traced back to the pioneering work of Dr. Reuven Bar-On, who developed the original EQ-i in the early 1990s.
This tool was groundbreaking because it was one of the first scientifically validated measures of emotional intelligence.
The EQ-i 2.0 provides a comprehensive framework for assessing an individual’s use of emotional intelligence across five key areas: self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal, decision-making, and stress management.
